Synchronized swimming History: At the beginnig of the twentieth century, synchronized swimming was known as water ballet. The competition was firstly recorded in 1891 in Berlin, Germany.Many clubs were created at that time, and the sport was developed simultaneously in several countries, including: Australia, Canada,USA and Europe,Germany, France and Spain. Synchronyzed swimming is a discipline that combines swimming,dancing and gymnastics, consisting of swimmers (either alone, in pairs, or teams) performing in the water a routine motion made to the rhythm of music. The best swimmers in the Spanish sport have been: Andrea Fuentes, Ana Carbonell,Thais Enriquez, Paula Klamburg, Margalinda Crespí, Clara Camacho ,Cristina Salvador, Irene Martruchio, Judith Requema, Gema Mengual y Paola Tirados.
